Why do we arrest parents of school shooters but not shoplifters?

I had this thought back when the Crumblys were on trial for that school shooter kid Ethan Crumbly. So they're responsible for the kid doing that, right? Okay so what about all these urban youths out shoplifting at the grocery store? Charge the parents too and shoplifting would disappear overnight.

Its a matter of specifics. I dont see parents as direct accomplices in most situations. The main issue would be is what the parents knew beforehand or what they should have known under circumstances.

It's a humiliation ritual.
One of the first steps on a government takeover is making the population feel like they have no control.

Because one is a misdemeanor crime and is probably covered by insurance. and the other is mass murder. If youre incapable of telling the difference of the crimes then i cant help you.

How else does someone become a master criminal? After you complete all the low level crimers you have to rank up.

I think shoplifting and deleting people are 2 different crimes.

One you’re taking something that can be replaced and the other your ending a life.

What if they didn't learn to be a blight on society from their parents, but instead learned that from social media influencers, or teachers?
