Capitalism
why do people constantly say capitalism is failing but still participate in it? "late stage capitalism" like js move to a communist country and see how much better it is there then. oh communist countries dont exist I wonder why. Actually, North Korea is, right? hows life there?

and life in north korea is very nice! kim and i sometimes share romantic evenings on the basketball court. of course, i must let him win or i risk being sent to a labour camp.

Fun Fact: aoc told her followers to use lower case for her initials because she hates capitalism.
North Korea is great, it's like 1 gigantic theme park. But only if you were born as the fat clown in charge of it.
Nobody's even doing capitalism or communism or any other economic system lol

It's all just different versions of "oligarchs pillage everything"

You can't claim to be X type of economy if you have exceptions where its rules don't apply - and every country has significant exceptions
Because there's people selling the idea that capitalism is bad, and making plenty of money off that.
Don't think to hard on it, those are usually generalist takes meant to just vent frustration or validation.

Because anyone that actually knows what they are talking about and want a serious debate they will at least better curate their words.

Normally that take is made from people that see oligarchy and monopolies as a rising and more prevelent problem. Which depending where you are in the world, they might be more right than wrong or vice versa.
Do they have a point ? well it's a generalist take so yeah.
Do they also exagerate and provide no actual argumentation for a solution? yeah, more often than not.

If you want details on how oligarchy and monopolies are compromising social life, well you have several examples to research like privatization of health, public housing instead of being restored being sold to corporations that turn it into tourism spots or whatever else but affordable housing, denial of responsibilities these go from acquisition of private information to avoidance of correct disposal of the industry trash and etc... it's so much bs that even the common joe tends to see how politicians instead of forcing the rule just open the door for these malpractices.

So yeah lots of frustration sometimes more justified than not and it's easy to see how the average consumer can't compete with the multi-national corporation. A simple example is that the average consumer can't buy at the same volumes that a multi-national corporation can.
Then if you further understand volume discounts and market manipulation you will further see how much influence multi-national corporations have in society.

Now is this how capitalism is failing? well technically not, it's how our governments are failing to impose rule to prevent abuse. So it's not even a failure of democracy, liberalism, socialism, etc... it's a failure of our rulers and representatives that seem to forget what happens during a civil revolt.
