Can you justify having more than two gaming devices?
Just seems greedy to me. I'm struggling with this. I have lots of games on PS4 and Switch, but I also want to play Star Wars: The Old Republic on my low end laptop. I dunno.

I'm not justifying anything to anyone, if I want it and can afford it, I'll get it.

That makes sense.

There was a time in the 'thrifiting' world (I'd say late 2000's, early 2010's) where you could score mega deals on older hardware and equipment. Today it's very hard to find a deal without having to sell a kidney. So you're kind of at a disadvantage. My sincerest apologies.
I'm preventing lower class people from getting consoles by having my own collection?

Sounds like commie talk.

Well i have 3 computers because I'm always building new ones and none of them have anything wrong with them, They work perfectly, Just there's faster hardware out there.

instead of getting penny's for them I keep them and my dad uses one and i use the other two for my steam accounts.

My xbox360 is just for Forza motorsport 2 which i can't play any other way.

Anyone remember the great TV exodus? All the newer LCD 720p/1080p TV's were coming in, and everyone's CRT was going out on the front lawn. For years you could drive down someone's street and score a free TV. Now it's almost impossible to find one without coughing up some paper. Strange times we live in.

found a 13" emerson stereo tv at a thrift store for only $10 USD. just has a significant overscan, but color and everything else is good.

they're still out there.

also scored a dreamcast with 4 controllers, 2 VMUs and some awful basketball game for under $20 at a goodwill some years back. it's not reading discs anymore, unfortunately, so that's a project i may try later.

If you count handhelds, I have 16 consoles and a PC. I wouldn't worry about 3 platforms being "greedy".

If you can afford them you can have as many as you like i dont think its greedy, i have a few but mainly use my PC. The oldest console i have is a ps2 and i still use it pretty often when i get bored of using PC, i do need to slap it sometimes for it to work properly though lol :bluerune::luv:

No need to justify anything to anybody. But, many people own several consoles, and a PC, that's already more than two. For myself, I don't do console gaming anymore, but I do have a modified GBA that fits nicely into my pocket that I take when I go some place I'll have to be waiting around for a while. Thinking of modding up an extra Game Boy Color I own too.

Nice 1. I also found a dreamcast back in the day. It did turn on, disc spun up, VMU registered with the system but it had a dead black screen. I looked online and found out it needed new capacitors around the video port area. So I recapped the whole thing and the video signal came back. Hope this information helps someone out there.

It could also be a DAC issue, you can get new ones last I checked. It also helps to have a multi-meter and to check the values on all the components to make sure everything is working correctly.

I used to have tons.
Right now I mostly use my high-end gaming PC- but I also have a retroid pocket 5 that gathers dust and a STeam deck that I have hooked to my second monitor for OSRS

i guess that's true, no need to justify anything in life. we are humans after all, we can decide to be logical or emotional.
