ideally before the cavity infects the nerve endings inside your tooth. if that happens the dentist would have to pull them out. not a particularly fun time, all things considered.

There is a lack of dentists, generally speaking.. So, if possible, it needs to be scheduled in advance and before they start to hurt as that's a sign of something wrong.

Because you may not eat for a few hours afterwards, I think it's ideal to have it scheduled either few hours before lunch time or right after lunch, so to avoid feeling hungry.

I should go to the dentist too, but just don't give a ♥♥♥♥ anymore.

If you have any pains to the point where it’s unbearable then I suggest the dentist now. And get your wisdom teeth removed too.
