Simple... the United States would roll in, guns blazing, and then immediately get caught in a 12-hour conversation about the proper way to put maple syrup on pancakes.

Canada would, most likely, surrender... but only after offering the US some "free healthcare" and a free round of curling.

It'd be the only war where both sides come out with more snacks than they went in with.
