Thinking About Becoming a Furry…
Lately I’ve been super interested in the furry community. I don’t know anyone personally who’s a furry should I just dive in or take it slow? Curious about other people’s experiences!

Dive in.

There's no half-fast way to be a furry.
its not something you think about, its something you look at the art and decide if you like it or not.

I think...if you're a furry you just know? I mean I am not a furry, but it seems that furries just know. I would say dive on in, it seems like a community that loves and welcomes newcomers. Perhaps read a little about things people wish they knew before they entered the community. Also know that it is relatively taboo to the average joe. But I think if you're interested, just go for it.
Why do the hot ones have no interest in us human males?
Do what you wanna do stranger, I recommend you read up on places to avoid, however, unfortunately, the community can be too open at times.

You don't "become" a furry. You are one or you aren't.
Fury > Furry
If you like anthropomorphic animals, that's enough.

You don't have to have a fur suit or be into porn or any of the other stereotypes.

Frankly, the misconception that orgies in fursuits are a thing is ridiculous. Those are very intensive, expensive craft projects. No one in their right mind would risk torn stitching or obscene stains.

please come back with an answer so i know if i should block you forever, thanks
If it makes you happy go for it i say <3 :bluerune::luv:
Go to fur affinity and just look at all the art for a few hours, get you desensitised to whatever the ♥♥♥♥ some of that art is supposed to be. Some furry art goes hard but you’ll sift through 1000 hand drawn “art” to get to it.

The community is extremely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ varied, on one end you’ve got people like the potential of animals because of all the different traits and designs, cool, yeah Redwall and that one Wind something book is pretty great. On the other hand you’ve got what is basically Beastiality, but hey, it’s the internet.

Oh and you could play conkers bad fur day, outside of it being funny, it’s also… yeah. Star Fox has Krystal, Sonic has all those characters and then Rogue which is where things get confusing like, is that furry? Idk, maybe. In general mascot platformers are quite good to play, firstly because they’re almost all good and secondly because furry.

People who don’t know what they’re talking about will call Kemonomimi furry, it’s not, there’s a guide, look it up, catgirls are not furry. That said you can watch Beastars. But then sometimes creators will also decide the catgirl should be 90% fur, because why not.

But it’s important to note that furry doesn’t have to be sexual, it’s a segment of the community and some people get a bit annoying about this, but you don’t HAVE to. Anyone saying different doesn’t know much and i’m not even a furry so yeah.
You know you don't have to join the fandom entirely, just go in with a fascination. But, if plan on joining well you do you.

Excatly.
I think if you're interested you should dive right in, I've had mostly positive experiences in the fandom and meeting people in the fandom. By the way you don't need to make a fursona or get a fursuit, you can do those things if you really want to but they aren't needed to become a furry and join the fandom.

I'd recommend joining some Furry groups on Reddit or Discord, hell you can even check out some of the ones on Steam. There's some decently sized ones on this platform.
