Lately I’ve witnessed a ridiculous thing: I saw that people are buying emissions, and apparently there’s a trade for it. Once again, as the whole world, we’re making giant corporations earn even more money just for extra income. If the Earth came out of the Ice Age, it means it warmed up by itself—there were no factories back then. The climate changed on its own. Don’t say scientists this and that—science always changes. For example, at one point scientists used to say “don’t give water to babies,” but now they don’t. There are plenty of such examples, and I think they’re using us. But if someone convinces me that it’s not like that, I’ll be happy.

"Buying emissions" is basically paying government a fine for emitting pollution, where the alternative to clean up their operations is considered too expensive for whatever reason. Cleaning up is usually better in the long run for everyone, even the company, because they keep paying the fine over and over, whereas paying the cost of creating a cleaner process is usually a one off cost (or mostly so).

Are you talking about carbon credits? those are to meet regulatory limits on greenhouse gas emissions

You are misunderstanding how science works. While scientific knowledge evolves, consensus on climate change is strong and based on extensive evidence, unlike passing fads.

Sadly too many of the sciences were taken over by ideologues and the greed that feeds them over the past decade. Hopefully that will change as well.

All those oil companies are significantly increasing their profit margins with the more rules placed on energy in the name of climate alarmism that allows them to sell the same product at increasingly higher prices. $5/gallon vs $2/gallon doesn't hurt them, it hurts you. You are paying them more for the same ♥♥♥♥.

Climate change is real and has existed since the beginning of time; it can't be stopped.

There are plenty of corporations trying to squeeze the "climate change rhetoric" to push electric vehicles, renewable energy, extra taxes on CO₂ emissions, etc. They usually prey on weak-minded individuals, using their empathy to get to them.
