this is a camp. ot is a camp.
is camp like a gay or homophobic term ?
In the verdict of 18+ fiction media it’s as laughable as it is and was all these years, you would think of something like this existing to be made to ridicule and that’s because it is a joke and it is a complete mockery, truly. Many of these titles are in the store now and judging by the reviews nobody is buying them up or an overwhelming majority aren’t leaving reviews for privacy, though I do believe it would take an enthusiast to build a solid library of 18+ games. And I personally like to believe this is God’s own doing because he would not allow evilness to thrive under any circumstances. You can’t even market 18+ games unless you possibly do it in other places that attract nefarious people of the same likeness so they already lose out on those grounds as it is. I knew an 18+ platform that hosted a lot of games like steam does but I was only looking for learning reasons and it couldn’t help but make me feel like this was exactly like steam’s 18+ criteria, with the same similar energy/same low reviews and nobody really wants this. The market is saturated as it is and everyone is doing this type of content in some fashion. It doesn’t make any sense why valve would keep these games and their intentions were solely of profit, but even if the gates had opened sooner I still don’t think it would’ve cultivated a community because it’s silly to think that people would be bonding over isolating (and nefarious at that) experiences in their computers.
To top it all off however I’ll reiterate this again and it’s that God does stop these evil things that from being able to take place, and aside from this topic one must have patience but also a testament of faith. A while ago I came across an 18+ website that hosted many nefarious games and I was with my friend I believe and we were learning about the games that we were coming across and there were many. Something that did catch my eye was the fact that many of these games were not being released or even completed. There are a lot of games that don’t get released but what I was observing were projects of great feats and all the talent was being used to create something that resembles the coldness of evilness. These creators were stumbling over themselves in an attempt to get out their harmful ideas, but God impeded their works and made sure they didn’t happen. This also makes me think of other nefarious games like yandere simulator, the coffin of Andy and Leyley, and among many other games that find themselves in early access. I don’t see them any different than when I saw the unfinished projects. Back then I was under the assumption that they had finished and released Andy and Leyley and they were going to make a sequel to it, but to my surprise they weren’t and even to this day the developers can’t complete their game that they set out on doing because it is nefarious and God will not help them make it. A lot of people like to talk about games having soul and I think the reason we don’t see many more 18+ games and being praised is because it dims the light within our souls and deep inside we want things that feel lively and soulful. But this is clearly what some people want and they will get what they wish someday and that’s a permanent separation of light and darkness in both heaven and hell. Like in real life physics you can’t have both light and darkness in a room and you certainly can’t have your cake and eat it too. Revelation 3:16 “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”
In the better light of all of this God will show himself and help you if you are humble, genuine, and have a willingness to do good in this world. Cave story, stardew valley, Minecraft, and undertale were all made by single men developers, at some point or if the circumstances are different now, but it still showed a testament of their willingness to create something good and have their souls poured out onto their works rather than the evilness of sin acting as a concrete or wooden dam that blocks out the soul from being able to be poured out.
As a veteran with some combat time, I do have the desensitisation to actually go into places like F95zone, itch.io, and others, and dabble into some of this content. Long periods of training and deployments was also quite 'lonely', if you know what I mean, and there was a time not too long ago when XXX magazines were on almost every convenience store shelf in North America; Not anymore.
I have watched this XXX genre go to absolute S**T starting about 10 years ago, and it was coincidental to the porn industry itself becoming a vehicle for misogyny and depictions violent sexual abuse, which in some cases weren't mere 'depictions'. The lack of sales and presence of negative reviews on Steam mirror this, but I can assure you about 10 years ago, before Steam went in this direction, I do believe XXX content was looked at as sure, not suitable openly, but otherwise more benign.
Again I think this was due to the more recent shift starting 10 years ago, into depictions of violent and perverted forms of sexuality such as glorifying incest, bestiality, slavery, etc. Although I don't view this with a purist lens as you do, we do seem to be in a place where Abrahamic purism and civil pragmatism are in line in this regard.
I did not agree with everything that you said, but I found these particular sections to be profoundly insightful and I think if more Christians had such an intimate relationship with God, the religion would not be suffering with the image crisis it has now.
Definitely for the best.
If they do, they do. Not the first time.
