IDK if I'd feel safe using a toilet capable of that.
"What Will You Do When Windows 10 Is No Longer Supported?"
Stay on Windows 10
You're not worried about security risks?
My computer has been long compromised with this ransomware called "OneDrive" that is holding my files ransom unless I paid a regular fee, a circumstance that wouldn't have ever been possible had I stayed on Windows 7.
Nope. Usually I dont really dig into the internet that much. I just go on Youtube to watch videos or Steam to play my games. For something like the internet, you kinda need to try to risk your computer's security. Otherwise, I'll probably be fine. Besides, Steam still supports Windows 10, so as long as they still support it, I wont update.
which I used from 2000 till 2016 (16 years)
I still use windows 7 today (since I got it 9 years so still very short in comparising)
there is the issue that the kind of hardware windows 7 supports is limited...
so eventually I will need to replace it when I replace my hardware.
however with support upto 2x3090ti in sli. it still will do quite a while.
add to that the progress in gpu's is basicly stagnant... there is no card that realisticly can do 4k 100fps with dllss off upscaling off, rtx off, at 250w or less..
but ok say that nvidea or an competitor gets their stuff together and releases a proper 4k card that does not use idiotic wattage.. and does do so with native frames not fake frames..
-than I will need a newer OS
however :
I have no desire to use windows 8, 10 or 11 all are utterly crap to me.
unless microsoft makes a product thats like windows xp/windows 7 again.. with windows 12, 13 or whatever.. I will be FORCED to go linux.
not because I want too I have basicly used dos since the 80s and windows since 1995..
I not want os that drops support for older games (including legacy titles aka those still on fysical media) I not want os that steals my admin powers and forces updates and settings.. I not want an os that insults me with xbox in plain vieuw (I hate consoles!) I not want to give up my privacy/be spied on. I want to OWN my software, I always bought full retail versions and I want them on fysical media (cd/dvd/usb) and install them without needing to connect online needed
I not mind payting 400-600 euro for an os.. (I paid as much to get my copy of windows 7 ultimate full retail) nor to pay for extanded support (I bought 3 year extra support for 300 euro.. and would happely keep paying 100 a year to keep getting updates (ofcourse it would NOT be 100 euro subscription for the right to keep using the product.. any subscription would need to be only for aditional safety updates and features.. NOT my right or ability to install what I already paid for offline.
so if ms would just sell windows 7 remade (offline installer drm free) updated to 2026. including dx12, and more features but without all the bad crap) for 1000 euro.. in a box on an usb where you can install it from.. and than offered once a year a box for 100 euro "updates of this year combined" as usb stick for those not wanting the subcription with online downloads"
than I happely purchase.
but I would not even want windows 8, 10 or 11 if I was paid 100 euro per month to use it.
stick with W10, you don´t need updates, just common sense
