Mario Kart World might be terrible

I've seen the footage of the interconnected races, and I'm very concerned for Nintendo. People online are already calling it "Mario Kart Highway Simulator".

How in the f**k do you f**k up a PARTY GAME? That's what MK is, a party game.

Like who sat down and made this big empty uninteresting tracks and thought "yeah that looks awesome" with a straight face? This is proof that Nintendo do not beta test their products. They have not shown this to a real audience.

Races just keep going and going and going and going. WTF am I looking at?

If people wanted endless roads and terrain, they'd go play GTA5 with friends.

I was once worried 24 racers would be too many, and there'd be too much chaos. Not now. You could have 100 racers on these dull courses, and it still wouldn't be enough. This might actually be the first bad Mario Kart game.

Diddy kong racing for n64 in just a single game beat the stuffing out of mariokart.

A hub world, campagine, different modes, karts, hovercrafts, air planes, hard bosses that weren't bowser, time trials

And it doesn't do the lame mechanic of giving first place racers a coin as a power up.

It didn't force you do silly jump tricks, and power up upgraded if I remember right.

Who would be caught dead playing that though? I love Rareware, but Diddy Racing was like Walt Disney World Quest: Magical Racing Tour. Its aimed at a very young demographic. MK appeals to a wider audience of all ages.

I doubt it will be terrible. Nintendo has good things going for them. Quality is typically one of those things. At least in terms of game play. Say what you want, they know what *games* are, unlike Ubisoft who doesn't know how to make a game, or price it.

it is OK friend, nothing wrong with this. :P some racers are just better than others in terms of stats and such. i just like the big boys for the aesthetics.
