well i do not know about the americans but yeah, fifa is probably one of the most corrupt organisations on the planet. but they will never change, not at this point. the amount of money that goes through the hands of various countries through it is immense
this is supposed to be some kind of "hah, got you! we do not care about it!" but it comes across as more sad than anything to me. world cup, like olympics is something that brings the whole world together. a festival of international fellowship. it is unfortunate that you do not see this.
the least watched football games still have more viewers than the most watched nfl games, so, yep lol.
The US tends to dominate the ♥♥♥♥ out of the Olympics. Which is probably why we don't need to care about the World Cup to feel better. And I've seen countries that really care about their soccer... it's pretty much the only sport they have with any real popularity. The US not only has American football, but also Baseball, NBA, hockey. racing., even the X games were more popular than soccer at a time.
Maybe the reason Americans don't care about soccer is because we have so much more to choose from.
this sentence alone just proves my point sadly. it is not being about "dominating", the olympics is a festival of international camaraderie. you need to change your perspective to something more positive
So, yes, the US already has.
