“Unsupported hardware“
Tomorrow’s gonna be a great day for pre-owned PC part sales going forward. Especially full systems from people who bought pre-built systems without any understanding of The tech inside.

Plan on doing any shopping in the coming months for what is perfectly fine, but ultimately, “unsupported hardware”?

Should be some good deals, considering the market is about to be flooded with “unusable components”.

Yes but the parts are so old they aren't worth shipping or the electricity to power them.

When an intel n150 is around ~$130 today everything inclusive, old hardware is purely museum novelty.

I think the amount of e-waste might a bit absurd, this time around.

Experts could still turn old PC's into linux gaming machines or even browsing PC's.

Sometimes it's more economical to ditch windows.

Agreed:steamthumbsup:, but as with people whom buy every year the new apple phone and every new CoD, there will be millions of people just throwing their PC into the garbage. Which is just sad :steamsad:
I need windows xp compatible parts. Not period correct just compatible so these are good times.
When my computer no longer works, I just throw it out and get a new one. Buying anything second hand dramatically increases your chances of getting screwed. It might save you money, it might cost you money. Buying second hand stuff is just a form of gambling.

all my gambles have paid off
I dunno what's going on... there's some radical new tech that requires only all new hardware coming out or what?
I'm guessing it's a w10 thing
I've been wondering whether I should do a complete rebuild of the only Windows device I have left, along with a cheap W11 Pro key, but unexpected other expenses are taking priority in the budget.

I'm going to stay on 10 with current hardware a while longer. I could sidegrade to 11 right now, but it's too much effort.
