Making friends at 18
Highschools over and my community college is an absolute desolate wasteland, its pathetic to ask such a question but how do people do it

i know its so foolish thinking people will just wanna be my buddy but when i open my eyes and look around i dont see anyone id truly want to befriend either

You’re still young so it’s best just to focus on yourself. If friends come along, they will. Some will stay, some will go. Just keep the ones that matter.

take your time. look for groups what you can join. want to say go out and party, but even then, you will most likely just run into people who you don't like.
Clubs, sports, classes… if you’re not online just say hi. Does your school have grounds? You can meet people at the gym or the mall or the park or walking on the sidewalk. There are several social gatherings listed online for things like wine tasting or bike riding where I live.

Just get a job at the Tyrell Corporation and you can make as many friends as you want.

In the end whoever has the most cash has the most free time. You'll have to work on the friendship by giving some free samples of why that friendship may benefit them.

Then if your family doesn't own the club you have no reason to have friends since you not selling anything of value. People like to spend cash on people them can romance.

In the end you not 9 years old , people only attracted by visual representation. Them could find anyone and all have similiar thoughts, the less unique you are the more attractive.

may I ask why?
Actively seeking relationships (friends or partner) will just get you surrounded by shallow people that will drain your time, energy, and money just to leave you as an empty shell behind when they don't need you anymore.

You're ready to eat anything when you're staving, even poison.
Some people are pretty cool. You won’t know if you don’t meet people op but learning who to keep close is a skill.

I was gonna be snarky and say “skill issue”.
Whatever you do, just don't find them on 9gag 🥀

…or on OT either, now that I think about it. Many probably won't take something very seriously.

im just picky and typically when making friends id choose people who stick out a bit since i myself was never able to conform too well either
Join new groups related to your interests, like a book club or a sport. You can also do volunteering or find a job related to what you like.
