The North East is getting pummeled
Had to walk home in water up to my knees.

Its getting nasty and this is not the end. Low tide is in a few hours, but I worry about the next high tide. Hopefully it doesn't get worse.

Anyone live at the shore on the east coast? I'm from south Jersey.

The good thing for you, OP, is that it is not freezing rain which October is capable of doing.

As the Earth gets darker, especially on the East coast of North America, you will see some crazy ♥♥♥♥ fairly soon.

Its still relatively warmish here in NJ. Nor-Easterners are common for us this time of year. The flooding can be really bad though. I've lost a few cars because of high tide.
Best of luck to you and yours staying dry. Do you live high enough above the water table?
stay safe, from them hurricanes/tropical storms, glad those 2 hurricanes missed ya, hope the current doesnt do much of anything.

i dont live on the east coast, im in tornado alley (central), there were so many tornados this year, it wasnt even funny... and some of them came a bit to close for comfort.

not to mention all the flash/flooding that happened as well.

despite circumstances, have a nice day
