why?
why do people on steam have to be so bi polar? like okay so you talk to someone daily just casual conversation and then some day they start acting weird and just kinda get mad at you?

is this just something i'm dealing with or is it a known thing?

Speaking for myself. I am just tired. So little holding back. Disregard what others might think. Just lay it out there, raw.

Some people are malicious to begin with. They act casual and friendly at first, but that is just them gathering info on you. Then they exploit the things you said to them. Misrepresent you and take you out of context.

Consider this: Bots can simply copy the interactions of real people. This means the bot can seem like a real person because they say and act precisely how someone else already did in the same or similar exchange.
maybe they are just having a bad day
Some people/bots are like that for no reason, but I think in a lot of cases politics plays a part in people suddenly getting aggressive.
molecules of water are bi polar. we're all made of bi polarity.

Could be a joke or an failed attempt at sarcasm.

sometimes the person having a bad day sees everything else in such a way as every interaction they have is somehow negative, even though the people they are interacting with are no different than they usually are.

Without specifics the OP could be talking about anything.
Really? It seems opposite to me; most posters seem very one-dimensional. I much prefer the more interesting folks.

Also, as someone who knows legit bipolar people, just randomly getting angry won't get you that diagnosis. If they don't also randomly ♥♥♥♥ rainbows, it ain't bipolar. If it's only about them being triggered, you're talking anger management issues.

Finally, how do you know it's their behavior that's "weird," and not your expectations?

I understand, and totally agree with you.

One never know really what's going on with the person, because all that is seen is words on the screen. One has no knowledge of their life, or problems. One cannot read their voice or intonation or accent, or physical gestures, or facial expressions. Could be a bad day, could be anything.
Welcome on the internet.
You mistake for believing online interactions are real and / or logical.
Watch your step, or don't.

No they're just polar, you must confuse with the dipole moment.
