I do not follow soccer but I know the guy is probably one of the best...People pay billions to watch the game...Advertisers pay billions to get their product seen through the game...His team can afford to pay him top dollar...And the dude knows how to sell his image and invest...He deserves it...

Its not the kicking ball part they really paid for.

Its for performing in a public mega ritual which captures the masses. The pay is commensurate to the influence and distraction generated.

I listen to some who I consider very knowledgable in the occult, yet they still attached to sports teams and national identities. I find it quite pathetic TBH. But if this game can capture even those who are so far beyond the masses... yeah, it is commensurate pay from capturing those minds alone. Its a vulnerability.
