I stopped following The Funny old game back sometime in the 2000s.
I still watch a match or read up on players past and present but its not something I go in for now.
A certain 'hero of the people' shouting his head off about tax payers should foot the bill for school dinners did little to endear me to the modern footballer.
Lineker and Neville seem to be going from strength to strength on talking utter ignorance to the masses.

But least we still got a Genuine good person like Vinnie Jones doing something with his time and money. - Yes Vinnie Jones once the 'baddest man in football' title holder, is actually the one who is doing good for his local area.
