because the dungeons of fear & hunger existed. and many suffered, but many also succeeded in their quests in these dark pits
Before the Common Era.

they're all my favourites
80s-90s. I’m Xenial (1980). I remember a time just before dial-up internet. There was a lot of wonder still left in the world.
1985.

Super Mario Bros, and the first website.
1997
1988-1995.

Mega Man 2, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger.

Went from being a young kid to a teenager, learned a lot, had good friends, and life was pretty well stress-free.

Also, 2011 and 2014. Met the woman who would become my wife, and married her.

Yea. Got my NES around ‘88 or so. First “Packard Bell” 486Mhz PC around 91-92.

Quite amazing in retrospect that over the course of ~35 years we went from a 100Mhz Pentium 1 Processor to 4+Ghz Processors. From MB of RAM to GBs, & from MB HDDs to TB SSDs.

We had the first hard drive on my block back in 1987. Dad was stationed in Mannheim, and we had a whole 20 MB of storage.

We rolled deep in those days.
I'm just not a fan of years.
the early years when we still had our childish innocence intact and we were all full of enthusiasm and lust for life before it got parasitized and sucked dry.

I blame the Boomers, in general.

Until Donald Trump became President I would have to say the 80's overall.

Then again, the U.S. has had only 2 Presidents since I was born in 1966 worth calling a President ... Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump.

If I had to pick specific years, however, I'd go with the years I spent in Tennessee going to all the concerts and working with some of the best people I have ever met in my life.

Good times.
