Anyone else get creeped out by religious people?
I like to think I have a great imagination but even still when religious people start audibly talking and praying to the ceiling and getting super emotional it creeps me out.

Also makes me feel unsafe because at least for Christians, they believe that what God commands is necessarily good. Like at any moment they could just murder me and they'd wholly believe it's good to do so.

No, I don't. I'm catholic and I go to church and I have no issue with anyone else following their own religion if they choose to do it. Maybe people with no religion creep people out too.
I'm more disappointed of how many don't follow or read their own bible today. I know more than the majority I've come across about their own religion. But that's just my personal bad experience.

I once read a news peace about a church that made a homeless person statue on a bench to teach people to be more kind and remind people of homeless people and the cops just kept getting phone calls about a homeless man needing to be remove from the place it belonged to.

I just feel ashamed and I'm not even a Christian, sometime I wish I was a devout follower but to be honest its not the religion I have a problem with its the people.
no I feel cringe with a slight of pity, I've seen how the mind sometimes needs to grasp to something in order to distract from the pain and reality of a situation uwu

100% agree as an ex-Christian. Christianity has such a potential for good.. It's such a waste to see it being twisted into an ugly harmful tool for the sake of clicks, votes, and righteous hate.
yea, sometimes.

Some, I feel comfortable when I talk to them.

but others I feel like calling an exorcist... I think some are "fake" :headcrab:

Left wingers could do that also.

That's every religion my man. I can't think of any religion which worships a supreme being/beings that doesn't think the commandments from the beings are good.

Also are you sure you're an ex-christian? You type things that sound like a born athiest trying to pretend to be a christian.
It's unfortunate, but I can't fault decent people for feeling utterly repelled by what passes as religion these days.

Remember that Christ said to pray in private and not make a big show of performative faith.

I guess that's a good point, must be my personal bubble speaking. Not that this makes me feel any safer lol.

And yes I was raised Christian. But believe me I would've loved to be "born athiest," whatever that means.

Yes because they all downplay humanity as sinners, when really going by their logic it was god that created sin in the first place
For me it's the fact that no one can even show that there's any sort of supernatural stuff, anywhere, at all. In the bible, it's said that believers would be able to do insane magics, like heal the sick. And even state it as they can do it, not that they can only do so if the other person also believes. No one can do that. So either there are no true believers anymore. Or it was never true to begin with.

And then when there's several sects within each religion shows that nothing is guiding them from any solid foundation, it's all what the people think, the preachers, etc.

I'd be happy, or very afraid not to, follow a god if only someone would be able to show any good evidence that there is one. :/

Atheist believe in science over religion OR nothing at all, I A strict Agnostic believe in something after death but not what other religions preach (i simply state that I don't know but there is something), Agnostic also believe in science too. I may of gotten it wrong but if you care enough look it up for yourself.

It borders on delusion. We have progressed enough as a society that theism has been pushed into a corner where everything that once thought to be supernatural phenomenon turned out to be entirely natural, and where morals and ethics are inherit to human nature rather than due to fear of divine punishment. At this point religion only still exists to maintain the status quo of powerful people and institutions.
