If you could go back in time and redo everything but...
...you are guaranteed to lose the individual who matters most to you, would you do it?

The rules are that you can go back to any point between now and your earliest memory. You retain all of your current knowledge and memories. The individual who dies is the one who you love most (but not yourself). It could even be a beloved pet.

The way they die is influenced by how much you change the timeline to benefit yourself. If you don't change the timeline much at all (i.e. repeat your original actions), they will die at peace and without much pain. If you, for example, memorize winning lottery numbers and try to cash that in, the individual will die a brutal and/or agonizing slow death.

What would you do?

no problem for me. they are not for this world already. it would be nice to see them again for the short time we had. and i would.

In the new timeline, they would die even sooner. You might not even get a chance to see them.

What if you have more than one beloved person?
I would do nothing.
Nobody really matters to me, truth be told. So I guess I'd do it and see what happens. =w=

It would be the one you care for most. If you don't know which, it would be random from your perspective.
