Jumping spiders
What is the evolutionary purpose of jumping spiders being so cute and fluffy

idk how you can find something with 4 eyes cute
Idk about you but bugs in general gives me the creeps. There was a time there was a huge hornets nest that I wanted to get rid of. The exterminator came and he walked back to me and said “Dang!! I’m gonna need the big guns.”

Air current perception and manipulation. At small relative masses this can have a profound effect on passing through the air.

Cats use their hair similarly when jumping, after springing to generate force and bracing to negate their own weight. They're more or less doing low-level flight.

Fun fact, baby spiders of certain species are light enough they spin little web threads and get carried by the wind, intentionally. So while not actively flying, certain spiders do glide on air currents.
They don't get squashed by humans.
