How to cut off contact with a friend
Now am I aware this a horrible place to ask for advice? Yes
Am I still gonna do it anyway? Yes
I have a friend, well two, that I kind of don't want to be associated with anymore, they've changed and not in a good way. We've all grown distant, and they've become kinda unpleasant to be around. We don't even talk all that much, and I feel honestly feel no desire to try to talk.
I just keep finding more and more reason to not like them anymore.
Only issue is these are folks I see on a fairly regular basis, at least for the next year...
If I did decide to cut off contact anyone got advice?

Just ghost them, talk to them only when they talk to you, I doubt they would care or even notice at all so it isn't a big deal
Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. No need to cause a stir. Just avoid them and be nice if you can't. A year is no time at all. Being kind to them could help, or you could try being honest about whatever changes you're talking about.

continue what you're doing, I guess? you sound more like acquaintances than friends already, no need to "cut" anything

i was gonna say something like this so i'll just add on to this

if it's not pressing enough that you don't need to immediately cut off contact, then there's really no reason to not just leave things as they are and let yourselves naturally drift away and minimize contact. if it's bad enough that you want or need them out of your life completely then there is really no reason to worry about it, just do it. but it already sounds like they wouldn't notice one way or the other
Them have. You still thinking about them since it isn't you who is ghosting.

There is unfortunately some friction going on between one of the individuals family, and mine.
Its kinda complicated but to put a long story short, there has been complaints filed against my folks by this persons family.
The other guy is turning to weird online ♥♥♥♥, and I want no part of it.

You're not wrong.
holy gumballs, batman :deadfish:
hang around new friends, different friend groups
you could have just told me, to find out like this isnt nice..

cheers i guess
Keep all chatter with them limited to the Bible and Jesus.
Just ignore them, even if they say something to you. They will figure it out pretty quickly.
Just ghost them. It'll suck for them, but it's the easiest way.

If you're trying to cut ties, you obviously don't care about them, so just act like it and stop all communication and interactions.
Just straight up tell them that you have decided to part ways with them
As a decent person I like to give people closure on why I feel this way. So if I think you changed and is annoying me I would tell you straight up. It might hurt their feelings but it’s better than just leaving them. But that’s just me.
