Worst thing to hear when playing TF2.
They fixed the bot issue around last year's summer.
They are fixing the cheaters issues as well... but they're doing the long game kind of bans to them.
As they will ban cheaters... if enough evidence and reports come in to be used as if it were like a police report case and when enough acceptable and verified evidence they make the call and ban them.
You're still going to encounter cheaters... except people keep forgetting that the report button works... and TF2 sends match data of every casual game played so they can get feedback... which is more often than not being looked over by one or two guys who are probably fresh out of college and are put into the assumed gutter positions at Valve due to just starting out on which projects on what they want to do.
I don't know how exactly Valve management works but they... don't make a lot of games anymore cause if you know you know.
I just know that Scream Fortress 2025 is going to come... late as always and everyone is trying figure on which map to go to play before the contracts come out.
Edit: There are some bots left over in some servers but they're rare to see now as a result.
They're just bot hosters experimenting on what they can get away with by cracking the new code.
