Do you think i, Robot was prophetic?
will we live long enough to see it?

imagine: every person their own private robot, which they could use to work or do labor for them
I would buy one.

The end is nigh.

If the robots get gud enough we can send them to explore space instead of us. And they can do all that pesky teraforming done before we arrive literally everywhere in the universe.
i got a roomba nd its kidna ♥♥♥♥ lol, it takes long time to do a good job, whel see how good they are humans are op
Did you ever see the movie Surrogates with Bruce Willis? That was an interesting one too.
just about every movie you have ever watched have been considered "Prophetic" in some way.

there's a reason for that. its Most notoriously known as "Predictive Programming"

Biblical scholars refer to it as the "Disclosure Rule" the powers that be are required by an ancient bargain that requires the evil ones to tell you what they are going to do to you before they do it. and your consent is implied if you do not declare that you do not consent.

You viewing these things in a movie and not reacting is considered "Implied consent" by the evil ones.
I hope I get to fight a house demolition robot one day just like Will Smith did.

Is this a religion?

I think I would prefer to be cyborg
No. It's called "predictive programming". Look it up. It's a thing.

no
Has very little to do with the book, but Robyn Asimov said her dad would have liked it. It gets the themes right.
A prophesy is something you have to declare. Something being like something in the future is just chance. It's almost inevitable to happen with so many tries, as this example of looking at anytime in the future for something from a movie to happen! :P

EDIT: You also have to be able to falsify it, like saying that something will happen at a specific date, or that if something else happens, then it's incorrect, etc.

I, Robot was more or less a warning that people ignored.

A prophesy is a long shot, but the movie itself simply asked questions that we really should have thought about more at the time.

Overall i'd compare I, Robot as a cautionary tale.
you don't think spending millions of dollars to make a movie is a declaration? is every machination of the mind, a new and original unique moment of solitary existence, considered a statement in the cosmic tapestry of the universe? I think one day research companies will develop robots that come in boxes. They would cost less than a car but be able to cook, clean, act in accordance to your will. I think so that companies can set quality standards and maintain authenticity they will continue to be connected to HQ. Will robots capable of social interaction like AI develop consciousness and fight with will smith to save the world from a robot invasion? No I think that's being too specific. I'm sure there are other examples I could use.

You know they are already here, right? I present to you GPS, Robot Vacuum, Alexa and self-driving taxis.
somebody is going to get ran over by a robot, but imagine all robots running over all people infected by being designed the same and connected together to be hacked
