How much of a detective game is ALAN WAKE II ???

little edit after i wrote it: im sure im fine. alan wake is not a random game for me. its the kinda game i wanna see and read EVERY detail and where i crawl my fingers in! so im probably good! but the over detective stuff was kinda annoying.. and because its an epic game, theres no steam forum where i could post.

alan wake 1 was one of my fav games of all time. it would take so many words to descrive how important it was for me in that part of my life. and the best of it.. i basically thought before its just a graphics demo because of the marketing.. its one of the greatest of all time

okay so AW2..

finished first "detective-chapter" and i keep playing after posting this

but I HATE DETECTIVE GAMES. i get it.. they needed something new.. but im the kinda guy who can totaly appreciate and watch lets plays of adventures and detective stuff.. but i DESPISE playing them. cause of trial and error, because of my "autistic" lack of understanding what the developers wanted to tell me and so on..

1. will it stay like that? will there be annoying parts like the first detective chapter (yes it wasnt that hard, granted!) how much of the game cerca is it in %?

2. of course there will be more "shooting" (calling it just "shootin" is kind of an insult to how the game plays on hardest difficulty) RIGHT? are this the alan wake scenes? how much % of the game circa is it?

ive played AW1 3 times BACK TO BACK and 2 times more! its more then just a game to me.. please tell me it gets better.. i NEVER let myself get hyped for ANY games. cause im 35 and i know that getting hyped for games is childish behaviour if you know the industry. but everything was perfect.. nice little series to keep the flavour alive.. amazing ratings..

but i didnt read them. i didnt watch trailers. i just looked at numbers of side i trusted

so yeah basically last question

3. alan wake is not a series where i would EVER cheat., but if the detective stuff gets too "hard" (its not hard its just annoying) i would youtube it MAYBE. so does it get much harder or does it stay like the first detective part?

and.. its an EGL game.. so thats why i write in OFTP

Its more of a exploration and minor combat game. Mostly exploring.

Which was fine with me because the game looked so damn good, best game ive played in the last five years, easily.

But some wont buy it because of their brand loyalty to steam rofl. And then have the gall to complain about it.

As if valve would ever put counter strike or any of their games on the epic store.

Laughable.

As someone who hasn't beaten alan wake 2 (I have it on epic and I keep forgetting about it), the detectiveness of it doesn't seem to go away but gets quickly split up into more action, horror mechanics, I would say from my 10 hours, theres about 30% of it is actual "detective" stuff, but even then the detective stuff unlocks semi-automatically from just exploring
for your question how how much shooting there is I'd say from my memory about 40% of the game is shooting, 30% is detective stuff and the other 30% is cutscenes and walking around

yeah thats weird..

that made me so fed up with the "early youtube influencers" if you remember.. people like ijustine.. just watched an interview with her and i remembert why.. well i didnt hate her.. but why is was so unbelievable annoyed with this people because of theire INSANE APPLE FANDOME!!!

THEY DIDNT UNDERSTAND THE SIMPLE FACT THAT COMPANYS DONT HAVE HEARTS! AND SHES STILL BEING A FANGIRL IN 2025 (SHES NOT THE ONLY ONE BTW, IT WAS TONS OF PEOPLE) EVEN IF NOWADAYS APPLE RARELY BRINGS SOMETHING NEW! ITS JUST OVERPRICED WASTE OF MONEY!

its a pro if we have different plattfroms. sometimes its just annoying because of the screenshits. i for sure still do them and upload htem to steam (look at my RDR2 screents) but its annoying and sometimes i just dont worry.. same with playtime (thats why i created my own playtime list for epic games > look at my profile) and acheivements

but at the end of the day its a total PLUS! we cant have just 1 plattform that deletes everything if it goes broke.. (and i kinda feel like epic will at some point). but if you downloaded theire free games from the beginning htey were really amazing ones between them. like.. really really good ones! even if i already owned lots of them.

well sad to hear the minor combat thing.. yes what alan wake mad more a way of life for me than a game was for sure the story, the landscape, the feeling, and so on.. but the "different" fighting system was definitely 50% of it.. how much would you say is it less in %? (sorry for the autistic question!) ;)

what u mean by that? nothing outside of "typical alan wake 1" ? i btw just count the original.. the DLCS where kinda meh.. at least 1 (or 2?) of them.
