Using Retrobit Sega Controller on PC
I'm using this controller: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/2985686/Retro-Bit-Sega-Genesis.html#pc-windows

Trying to use it on my PC with a USB cable. Specifically for the Sega Saturn emulator Kronos. No matter what I do the emulator doesn't detect button presses when I try to set it up in the input menu. I've tried holding down B as well as holding down L/R/Start like the manual says. Nothing works.

Have you tried it on the windows own input tester?
Not done this for long time so cannot help too much.
But windows has a tester on it for gamepads and you can see if it is at least registering your inputs ie directions and button presses.

If it shows on your windows test function then at least you know its working on that level.
Also try different usb ports.

While connecting the controller means you have to follow those directions while connecting it in via U.S.B. That's how it works on the wired version anyway.

L/R/Start is also the combination for x-input. There is an off chance your emulators are so old they do not support x-input, and you might have to use direct input instead, and to switch to that mode you hold B for three seconds according to that manual.

Also, that's a blutooth controller. You won't be able to use it wirelessly unless you have a blutooth module or receiver for your computer.
