I was out in public and some person with Down's syndrome started making weird noises.
I was caught off guard and couldn't help but start laughing.
I wasn't laughing at that person but that's what people thought and some chick even gave me a dirty look.

Worst of all, I was in the process of entering my BMW M8, so I just looked like the biggest A-HOLE in the world...which I'm not.

Hold up. I don't know about OP, but several years ago I was in a restaurant and about 5 tables away from me, a child about ten or twelve years old started hooting and making many other strange sounds. This went on for at least twenty minutes, until the family got up and left.
I am assuming the child had some sort of developmental problem.
