Dead people can't play video games. Their incorporeal spirit goes right through the controller.
No, it doesn't count if you know you're dreaming. Video games are so much a part of you that you instinctively try to input cheat codes and hack/mod reality, and your dreams go the way you want even when you don't know you're dreaming.
Actually come to think of it, what I do in my dreams really is more like modding than hacking.
I do sometimes dream lucidly. But even when I don't...
My record was 96. Then I got lost in my own development, blundered into a dead end, backed into a horse fence and put my own taillight out trying to turn around... really, I think I would've been better off after a six-pack than trying to drive when I was that wiped out.
When I finally figured out where I lived, I slept for 36 hours with only a couple bathroom trips I barely woke up for.
for a second i thought you did that in game, which was funny,
oh noes... dont sleepless drive... not in rl. At least no one was hurt, except the taillight
That being said sometimes I dream in ASCII. That's the mark of someone who plays a lot of actual roguelikes. Posers who think ♥♥♥♥ games like The Binding of Isaac or Slay the Spire are roguelikes need to get on my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ level or get out of the niche.
Gatekeep everything, including sleep.
