Things that you remember really well?
I can remember simple stuff in my field of view, such as shapes and positions of things, but I cannot remember fine details especially well. I can remember things in relation to one another. I can also remember facts or procedures really well. It's basically a snap shot of what I see, but limited in detail.

As I have learned to how to learn better over the years, my memory has actually improved since when I was young.

However,...

I am terrible at remembering peoples' names or the lyrics to songs. I only know one song and that's the Happy Birthday song.

How is your memory? Has it improved as you've aged, or is it getting worse?

Mine has always been a bit odd.

I remember different scents/tastes connected to times in my life. It's been like this since I was a kid. It was first noticeable around 1985 when I ate a chocolate donut and the taste of it was stuck in my memory for about 2 years. It was very strong and sickening and I could not lose the taste. So sometimes now I still get that taste if I think about it. Same with the airline food in 1986 which is connected to a song that was playing at the time of the meal. So when I hear the song 'take my breath away' for example it gives me a taste from almost 40yrs ago.

Many things do this for me, video games especially because I would smell the freshly opened box for that new game smell. So some games have a different scent which is remembered when I remember the game(or I get the scent first for some reason then remember where it came from). Blasteroids and Mayday Squad on c64 for some reason are quite strong.

So my memory is quite good for some things but really bad at others. I'm not good with names because I'm usually stressed about communicating with the person, so names go out the window for me. Smoking can also effect my memory quite a lot too, so I only tend to remember the important stuff. And the older I get, the more I don't find things important.
