Mass Migration and Low Fertility Rates
Do you believe mass migration is the answer to low fertility rates in the west?

Low-fertility countries, it is said, require large levels of immigration to stave off population decline, rapid aging, and economic decrepitude.

What's your answer to the low fertility rates in the west? Do you really think deporting migrants is the panacea to low fertility?

House prices and the cost of living crisis aren't going to magically go away because we deport a few hundred thousand migrants.

no, the only people who want mass migration are people who want cheap labor and slum lords who will make the immigrints live in tiny little apartments or 20 people in one house

check how many migrants come to canada, i can assure you its hella lot more than a few hundred thousand
after a certain period of time tfr of immigrants also tend to drop below replacement levels, so it is not a long term sustainable solution.

Nope. We need to ramp up deportations 100x. Kids need to stop going to college, start buying homes and get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ faster.

How exactly are they supposed to be buying homes, if house prices consistently rise and non-college graduate jobs are underpaid?

I don't see exactly how your idea does not clash with the real world.

I don't see the problem if we just go extinct.

My answer to low fertility rates is to make people want to be fertile. People in Sub-Saharan Africa have epic amounts of children because they need them in order to survive - they're effectively their future pensions and carers, and before then, can carry out subsistence farming and similar. So we need to take a page out of their book and implode our economies even harder so that we also have to have children in order to survive...

...or I suppose, we could make the world a nice place to have children in. A cheaper place to have children in. A world where you can have time for your children...

...naah. Lets make it all worse.

If you want even lower fertility rates it is a good way to do it, short term gain for long term loss.
Population decline without immigration would be bad for the short term but it would increase the fertility rate so it would be good in the long term.
it occurred to me very recently that IQ is as correlated to birth rate as economic status

importing citizens is only a short term solution

the reason why people with higher IQ have less kids? I would have to guess because intelligent people are more aware of the impact it has on their lives. It affects their mobility, financial fluidity and security, availability of free time and ability to make longterm plans. I don't know of any studies done on this and this is all just speculation.

instead of using robots or machines to replace workers at customer-to-employer interactions like robocalls and self checkout lines physical labor can be replaced by machinery without impacting social interaction, complaint resolution, interpersonal negotiation and logistics without requiring a robust general population to perform all services necessary for a varied and intricate industry to exist.

I can once again only speculate about why the west, or america in particular, has chosen to replace jobs that require social interaction instead of physical labor but likely because nobody wants to do those jobs. people would rather inefficiently pick strawberries by hand than have a machine do 10x their work at half the cost while they answer phones or write books.

we produce such a huge surplus of goods in the agriculture industry that we can't even find countries to buy it and instead of integrating robotics at entry-level efficiency we have chosen to turn everything into corn syrup and soy oil

Sounds like the OP is a believer in the population replacement theory.
