Tbh never thought I'd see an evangelical Christian conservative downplaying news about an Israeli operative caught exploiting and abusing American minors , presumably to achieve Israeli political objectives.

Do you somehow imagine you're putting "Americans First" here?

It is possible. Perhaps there has been a series of people over the years in similar position just to make sure Washington stay keeps it's political position. Any nation with a large enough intel agency could do similar operations.

It also means the CIA either wants to keep all USA career politicians under their strings as puppets, or they have lost many of their cold war era know-how & capabilities.
