I haven't used Game Pass for a while but I would cancel it too, it's way too expensive for not even owning the games. They'll probably revert this after the backlash.
Xbox Game pass = the "you will own nothing and be happy" mentality applied to games

Basically.

Remember when they said digital games would make games cheaper for you and everyone else? It literally went the opposite way, they always lie.

They made them easier to market and distribute. They just refuse to translate those savings to the customer and come up with some excuse as to why they should charge more. I often hear "but they paid the equivalent of $80 for a game in the 90's!" True, but those also cost a ton more to construct and market.

They are technically cheaper games back in the 90s would be around 125 nowadays usd
I can't help but laugh at those who defended this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ system.
It's really simple, x-box-pass was a good idea in its conception.
It no longer is.

The price of games has never been reduced , it only ever stagnated untill they saw fit to increase it.
Like Visa and Mastercard used to say; can't put a price on happiness.
My happiness, from games, has only decreased within the last decades so I'm less willing to put in more money for less quality and quantity.

I respect the hustle but respect my wallet more.
People still use Xbox?

There is this thing called "rent" -- which is what the service is in a nutshell.

"Ohh b-but you will own not--" still rent.

why would they sell for less they know ppl are willing to pay a high price so why lower it
Based on the way things are going in UK and Australia in terms of online freedoms and restrictions, im not going to be surprised if subscription based gaming is eventually forced on people. And the only games available will be the ones deemed "appropriate," or games and conent that align with particular political values, by either an agent of the government or a private company.

They bank on people being uninformed, and also mislead by intentional information to mislead and redirect them to their own favour and interests.

more the majority simply doesnt care why do you think the bp and dlc normalisation came from
I have one or two of the higher tier cards laying around, only activate them when there is enough people over to justify using one. With the cost increase, I will not be buying any more of those cards at that price.
