So OT, what are you reading right now?
I'm bored and have some time to kill so tell me Off Topic what are you currently reading right now and what are your thoughts on it? I am reading The Will to Power by Friedrich Nietzsche and The Song of the Cid. I had expected a more aphoristic style to the former book though I guess I shouldn't be surprised to is level of disorganization via incomplete and sometimes contradictory thoughts since it was compiled passages from Nietzsche's personal journals. I more or less agree with Nietzsche's diagnosis on European nihilism as well as his comparison between the Aryan religions and Semitic religions though. Regarding the latter book, I had just started that one but plan on binge reading it later tonight since I am enjoying it thus far. the Cid is quite optimistic in the sense that despite his just being exiled, he still operates on the mindset that in the end he will win and that God is with him. Definitely the ideal nobleman archetype. I'm honestly curious to delve into medieval lit since I'm wholly unfamiliar with it unlike Renaissance lit which I am very familiar with.
