Fanta or cola?
Apple be gone if not bill gates. You think you have a choice. But the choices been made for you.
I bought this new PC being the old one gave out, and had to buy a new one. But with Win 10, like Win 7 that is going to go on for years.
Cause windows 7 has backward support who is no longer in windows 11 and windows 7 has software supporting the last directx version who will ever be created.
OTOH it might move some legislators who then could force the issue.
OTTH those patches are hardly interesting and whoever relies on those only will be infected anway.
The real issue will be not the patches but the programs. M$ programs like teams and office already stopped to work on older W10 versions and pretty soon may start refusing the latest version too. For no good technical reason, just to ♥♥♥♥ on customers. And other programs may follow.
Windows 10 is windows 8 and windows 7 was created based on windows vista.
It can't be compared since windows 7 is an owned license while you don't own windows 10
You may think that oh but i don't own it.
Yes they did own the software. The companies bought as example unreal engine 3 software with legal ownership.
I mean if you want you can eek out 2 more years on the cheaper lts, the 2031 vresion is a bit excessive, imagine running on a system that old in 2031.
An N150 mini PC is a little over a $100 and has windows 11, some people are just being stubborn, yet not stubborn enough to jump to linux, which is funny.
Also the steam deck 256GB is $319 as we speak.
Its usually a lot of big talk until they experience it and suffer, they are stuck on windows 10 for a reason.
