Have you been through chemo?
What was it like for you? What do you think people should know?

I never was but I had a fair amount of family go through it. Some made it, some didn't.
Its a horrible thing to see, and from what I know, its even worse to experience. Chemo works by attacking fast growing cells, so it attacks everything. You're poisoning yourself to heal yourself pretty much, just for anywhere from 6 months to years.
No energy, lack of appetite, loss of hair and fertility, mood swings, loss of muscle mass, constant nausea or sickness are all a part of it.

Chemo has a succes rate of about 95% which means around 5% survive despite Pharmakia cults best efforts. Guess some people are just built different.
