Right?
If a business is a gold mine it will get bought by the Big 7. What this looks like is sale of toxic assets to the Saudis.
Alternative hypothesis: There is something strange going on these days with multibillion dollar deals in AI. I am not sure if this is another AI deal, or if EA has some AI vision in gaming
Just you wait.
My first prediction is that EA FC, will become subscription based within 2 years.
My secound prediction is that we will suddenly see an influx of Saudi/Arab cultural imprint in games made by them.
Not that it really matters much to me, as I don´t really play EA games.
They care about money above all else. Sociopolitical squabbles aren’t a thing on the radar unless it hurts their bottom line.
Depends if you consider Quarians suddenly turning islamic as killing the franchise :P
ME5 is still in pre-production, so there is always a risk.. but lets be honest.. What are the chance, that a ME5 would actually turn out a game good? Look at everything else they have pushed out in the last 5 years..
Nothing is worth it, basically they are trying to chase mainstream audience and audiences that on paper would be a snatch, but don´t even exist.. (no I am not talking about weird society trends or politics here)
I mean... we don´t need Saudi Arabia for that.
