moldova's pro eu ruling party claims 50.2% victory wth the support of thousands of votes coming from western countries poll stations
though they were not able to achieve 50% with local voters during this parliamentary election, when thousands of abroad votes came in they achieved victory
moldova's current government claims this is a blow to moscow and pro moldova parties

another nato expansion soon?

I think most people prefer Liberal democracy over Oligarchic dictatorship.

liberal democracy is when you ban the guys you dont want to win such as those pro russian parties
this might seem like a tiny victory with a negligable majority but considering all the resources ruzzia is pumping into moldova with criminal gangs, oligarchs, bribes propaganda, troll farms and military presence in Transnistria. it's actually huge.
without all these hostile elements hte party probably won with 60%-70% of the votes.

Kinda like what those commies did in Eastern Europe when they tried to gain a foothold in their respective countries, right?
yeah the commies were quite good tough, that aside idc about liberal democracy but just pointing out the irony of people calling russia a autocratic dictatorship ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ while supporting moldova banning pro russian parties

none really, my post isnt even pro putin at all, pointing out the fact that banning pro russian opposition doesnt really allign with the values the anti-russia crowd has, yet they support it
The important thing is not how many people voted, but how they were counted. Only two polling stations were open in Russia, and thousands of people were unable to vote.

They had it done in Romania before, where they said "People voted for the wrong person, so we'll remove him and you vote again."

Typical US and British thing. When orange revolutions gets too obvious, they just ban political oppositions, news media. Everything for "democracy".
Surprised that EU wasn't supported by more people.
Considering that they already have forgotten clown "republic" and are so close to the war.

I think that's very common
a ruling party wants to keep ruling so they have an incentive to make it difficult for voters to cast votes where the ruling party knows they won't get good results

Yup. Fascists, tankies, despots of all stripes, they've always used the naivety of liberal democrats to slither their way into power, then kick the ladder behind them. No freedom for the enemies of freedom is what I say.

In my view, anyone from conservatives to democratic socialists is welcome to run. The rest can leave the country for all I care.

Welcome in Europe, it's like the 40K universe, you have only horrible choices, but you have to pick one. :')

Trust me, the other option is billion times worse. They simply have no choice, because of their geographical location. It's either that or bye bye.

why the F were the polling stations in russia at all? the elections were in MOLDOVA. russians should have no say on the matter. this just further proves why pro-russia parties must be banned from any democratic nation

pro eu ruling party won because of votes coming from outside moldova, they wouldn't have won without those votes
