Shadowbans on Reddit are evil.
Okay, Reddit just killed my two-year-old profile with "We had a server error..." Aside from the shameful use of opaque language (just write - we banned you), they never say why or how. Furthermore, I don't even know how to communicate with support. They ignore all my posts and send me all sorts of nonsense instead of answers.
This is incredibly frustrating, because I like Reddit as a platform where I can discuss all sorts of interesting things. But the use of neural networks to assess the harmfulness of posts and the completely abysmal ban and exit system is simply devastating.

Why not just go to one of the other reddits, like soyjak.party?
I’m surprised Steam doesn’t shadowban people. Imagine yapping and nobody replies to you.

Excuse me, but what's so good about shadowbans? Shadowbans suck, they're literally cowardice. Especially in the age of neural networks. The system's glitched, you're screaming into the void, and no one can help. Forgive me, but projects like these should burn like fire. It's just vile.

I'm so glad you shared with me how you don't care about the things that worry me. Keep me posted.

I never said I agree with shadowbanning. I’m just saying I’m surprised Steam didn’t implement it. Not that I want them to.

You nailed it
Starting to see why they shadowbanned you in the first place. We're your friends and you're lashing out.

I didn't know that discussion meant attacks. Or maybe irony is already banned.

Ah, that famous reddit whit. When you said "Are you bored?" I didn't realize you were actually quoting Gladiator.

No, the phrase from Gladiator was completely different.

How do you know for sure they dont?

Ill tell you its strange, it seemed like the steam forums were a bigger/busier place 10-15 years ago.

I just see the same handful of names over and over these days. Kinda strange no?

The dead internet theory maybe?

Well, I've been on Steam for over 10 years. Except for gaming forums, I haven't really found much interest in writing anything in this space until recently. I suspect 95% of Steam users aren't particularly interested in discussing non-gaming content here either. This is not very convenient.
