My favorite Legends of Heroes youtubers all at least provide some commentary on what makes the games enjoyable for them. They do something that I couldn't get just by playing the game on my own. Be it, giving opinions or just news.
You need to provide something or else there's no reason to be seeking an audience.
i.e., part 1, 2 ,3 and provide titles of what happened with a screenshot thumbnail
I dont add a description of what happened as i suspect no one reads them so I just add what hte game is about and my PC specs and hashtags

So i´d guess You need to upload something which is enjoyable to watch. Here it´s always action, and it seems like the guy is knowing what he´s doing.
And in general the more views You have the more visible it should be, which is the downside of the algorithms. Like popular things are basically popular, because they´re popular, not because they´re necessary quality content.
i think watching gaming is only as fun as the person having fun. being engaged isn't the same as being engaging and you shouldn't expect your videos to perform well if all you're doing is playing video games. Anyone can do that, and they'll probably have more fun than watching your video. So again, make with purpose.
