YouTube Question
Quick Question on YouTube. To get decent views for non commentary gaming do you have to pay YouTube for the decent views? I am sure these people who get 3000 views or 4000 views for their gaming or more views are paying YouTube for views or suibscribers.
That's why they have their payment system right?

Ive tried different hashtags, good covers, different games from horror, indie, walking sim, adventure etc and wondered why I don't do as good as others who get around 2500 etc.
I am guessing YouTube's payment system

No. Your videos are performing as well as they should.
Good thumbnail.

Could I ask you a quick question, what do you think would entice someone to watch "non commentary gaming" unless it was a record breaking feat?
Doesn't work. VIDIQ too sucks, ive changed my titles multiple times to suit them and it's ended up being a disaster

Good title, Good picture to go with it. If I am playing a JRPG (Trails of Cold Steel 3) thats got plenty of good pictures to use as a thumbnail

Yeah but CS3 as a prime example, what would your video do that literally any other gameplay video couldn't?
My favorite Legends of Heroes youtubers all at least provide some commentary on what makes the games enjoyable for them. They do something that I couldn't get just by playing the game on my own. Be it, giving opinions or just news.

You need to provide something or else there's no reason to be seeking an audience.

I dont do commentary so I do non commentry and record it in Parts :)
i.e., part 1, 2 ,3 and provide titles of what happened with a screenshot thumbnail
I dont add a description of what happened as i suspect no one reads them so I just add what hte game is about and my PC specs and hashtags

Why are you uploading? is it archival purposes?
What do you why? I like to have a channel for YT shorts and have gaming there for people to see my gaming :) like others do.

I guess the only non commentary gaming videos i watched were some about Killing Floor 2, when some guy with good aim would play through the maps. And that guy would also have some views on his videos...

So i´d guess You need to upload something which is enjoyable to watch. Here it´s always action, and it seems like the guy is knowing what he´s doing.

And in general the more views You have the more visible it should be, which is the downside of the algorithms. Like popular things are basically popular, because they´re popular, not because they´re necessary quality content.

i mean, people make videos for a reason. I also have "non commentary gaming videos" uploaded on Youtube but it only exists for archival. like "hey I did this", so in 5 years I can do it better.
i think watching gaming is only as fun as the person having fun. being engaged isn't the same as being engaging and you shouldn't expect your videos to perform well if all you're doing is playing video games. Anyone can do that, and they'll probably have more fun than watching your video. So again, make with purpose.

I recently uploaded some music I did on my channel, I don't care if it gets any views on not, as long as people that do find it can find some enjoyment out of it, I will be happy.
You got to post what is trending. I did a haarp video over 14 years ago when Haarp weather stuff was trending made bunch money off that video. Also, you got to hit a certain Milestone before you can even pull money out. Good luck. :moneybags:
Who pays YouTube for views though? Me personally I make videos as a passion before I try to do it for a living.
