Nope, try again 😉
I'm bugged by the 2 in the last equation - because the rest of the numbers are sequential vertically.
Yeah, this one is tricky. Start with a+b.
OK, I have a few things going preventing sufficient focus.
I see some things, but still, they can't be complete.
Hmmm.
It is 26.
Nice.
((a+b)*c)-d
Cool. I was stuck too.
Apollo, I just think there is some serious vertical harmony going on. 9,8,7,6 then 4,3,2,1 then 1,2,3,4 then 7,6,5... 2? WTF?XSGames was sooo close to an immaculate puzzle.
Now I see that one.
Musically, I used to do things like that- back in college.
But in music, it can come across as very blocky and it doesn't feel right.
Now in math, you guys know what a good feel is better than i do.
Clarification edit:
Musically, if one puts it to paper, it is possible to do things like that. Now, on paper it's possible- but it quickly won't feel like music.
One can go and pull off something close to this effect- but it requires some simple alterations that cause things to nearly line up- but when a few simple things get (for lack of a more common term) offset they actually feel more like they are lining up as they should- and music gives the options of a number of things fitting within the rules.
The single greatest example of this one is frequently played badly. Most versions commonly heard are played gently and softly. It turns into musical mush- when the sheet music itself calls for some sections to be play STRONGLY!!! and then contrast that with extra quietly.
The piece is Chopin's Piano Prelude #20.
It will be readily obvious what is happening there. People with zero musical knowledge will instantly get it.
Yeah, I can only imagine what it's like think about music like a musician. I bet you have some stories.
I enjoy a XSGames puzzle like I would a crossword puzzle or riddle. I also like to see quick minds.
