What if your opinion changes like a pendulum?
Does that mean you lie?

Maybe they're unable to make up their mind or are confused

Depend if it's a real change of mind or someone toying with you.
I don't have opinions. I have the order of the world.

it generally does not. i am a stubborn loser
Sometimes people lie not to deceive, but to be liked. Yet these chameleons - always shifting their colors - are no better. Today they despise something, tomorrow they adore it, if that’s what the crowd demands

Not necessarily. Lying is saying something with the intention of deceiving somebody. Not every false statement is a lie. Some are simply incorrect, because you did not know any better. However, if your opinion is constantly changing, and you are making a good faith effort to be honest it means you are indecisive and don't have any firm convictions, which is almost just as bad. A pendulum may swing to and fro, but the truth does not.

This is why the state loves to educate children and not adults.

Young peoples opinions change on the daily, while old people have decades of reinforced neural pathways guiding their decisions.
