silent hill f's success means there are more chances they'll keep making games and perhaps a silent hill 3 remake, which is a game i like a lot
This is why games end up creating less error and trial and instead focus on the feeling of a game.
People love the idea of two monkeys hitting each other with clubs that them want first person shooters like mechasoldiers .
For this reason every 3rd or 5th bullet is fake in first person shooters to reduce the death of the other person and give them a lucky chance. First person shooters are adding handicaps to players to prevent it to become math where you physically has no chance to win.
A common idea is armor.
Armor doesn't work like a magic shield in real life. But we have them in videogames to make it easier for you to win.
My mobkey brain simply can't take it that armor is a dodge chance. I still want to believe that my stick stand as long the branch has HP and that I somehow going to have a shield with HP on it as if it was shot by arrows.
Let alone armor has never really worked the way we want to believe as it was used to protect against friendly stabbing. In terms of protection you could get away nude except for a helmet.
