Considering the state of the world, it’s become a somewhat common sentiment to say that we live in the worst timeline. All hope is lost, everything’s just gonna get worse, there’s no point bothering, pessimistic stuff like that.

However, people conflicting that have said that things could be much worse, which I do believe to be true. There are absolutely timelines that exist where hope really is lost. But, those are all very much separate from our current one.

Instead, it’s thought that we live in the weirdest timeline. This history where things don’t make sense, and all this crazy stuff keeps happening for whatever reason.
How much do you agree with this sentiment?
Personally, I think it’s true.

I think we are in the bad timeline.

Good 2020s timeline: No Covid, no war in Ukraine, good video games, better wages, better living cost, Steam doesn’t allow political or controversial threads.

It could be weirder, but weirdness is a component of the rarefied culture we are subjected to.

We live in a very counterintuitive timeline for sure, I think this might be a strong part of what defines weirdness.

in my country PERSONALLY? no way, we live in the ONLY timeline. my country has had hilariously unstable political happenings forever. modernity being awful is just not very unique, sadly.

There are no house-sized spiders on the surface so I would say this timeline doesn't even qualify as a bad one.

At least if you believe mainstream history then we should consider ourselves super lucky since all the dangerous giant mega-fauna is extinct on this timeline.

The world was kind of normal for the duration i grew up, or at least I did not notice it being weird
