If you don´t know a person, you can say "hi or hello" and politely ask their name.
If you are observing a person then you can assume (if its a mens football game, then it is pretty safe to say) "Number 10 is really good, I think he is the best" as it is a mens football game
If you don´t know and don´t want to assume anything, then they are perfectly fine... this is nothing new, nor is has it anything to do with "gender" ideology.
Remember, gender is not the same as sex..
Your sex = biological sex <-- (rooted in biology)
Your gender = what you physological feel like (it is rooted in physology)
In my opinion, you can´t assume others to greet you with a "gender" if they do not know you, but we should respect whatever people want to be, as long as they do not make special demands.
This lady thinks she is a cat (that is also rooted in pshycology) she is a female if we look at biology (not a cat) obviously

Interesting, That works too. Or you can call the person "Sir/madam". I look the person by gender as it has always been that. No reason to change it. If the person is a male, it is a male, or if the person a female, it is a female. I personally don't play the "mental gymnastics" game.
In my location, it easy to know if the area is known to be gender ideology otherwise it easy to know rather a person is a male or female.
I don't need to be reminded of the difference as I don't subscribe to that theory. According to me both sex and gender is the same. As stated before, not interested into "mental gymnastics".
But they are not the same.
One of the main issues is that many languages (including my own) don´t have both definition, mine only have the biological one and thus "assumes" in the gender perspective.
It is hardcoded, as if nobody in society agree on what something is, then they can´t communicate.
Ie. if you tell me you want to buy a chair, but I think chair means rabbit, then we will never be able to come to agreement and might fight over "definions and the goods"
This is why our languages have structures and why we asign labels as we do. It is also why many does not make a huge debate, if someone said their favourite fruit is strawberry, we accept it.. (yes a few will go nuts with the seeds, pun intended) but the vast majority will identify and understand the meaning taken from it.
I’m serious. It’s a thing.
there's much nuance to it, but for example, with like t4t lesbians. they're trans women who are interested in other women, but only ones who are also trans. the word cis here helps with their preferences.
also, actually, fun fact, the words 'cis' and 'trans' actually come from chemistry. 'cis' meaning "this side of", and trans meaning "the other side of" in Latin.
they neatly translate in terms of gender with how in chemistry, 'cis' indicates that functional groups are on the same side of a plane, and 'trans' means that they're on opposite sides.
And for the umpteenth time: 'Cis' has nothing to do with sexual orientation. There's truckloads of cisgender gays, lesbians and bisexuals just as there's straight cisgenders.
He's one of those who "can tell".
Transgenderism in the animal kingdom is not that uncommon of an occurrence.
Hard pass, I am not interested into "mental gymnastics". Thank you.
Wrong, The N-word used to mean black person. However, now it is used as an offensive term. It is irrelevant if it was an original meaning. What is relevant is what people use today. It is an offensive term.
It didn't 'turn' into an offensive term. It has been used that way since the slavery days.
that would be nice. all the money in the world, but still his children do not love him. its very sad, really.
Existing on land is probably a lot more difficult than living in the ocean, but you were able to do it anyway.
But then again, I am an alien. What do I know about humans? There are also people who are air-planes. Some people might tell you that they are a male or female, and there are people who are witches and wizards, people who are Mormons and Jews. There are people who think they are Americans, and others may think they are Russians, Furries and UwU's. All is possible, and you have to respect it all. (And if you don't know what an UwU is, fear not, neither do I.)
Spoon could be a slur, it all depens on context. But saying you eat a kiwi with a spoon, is perfectly fine. Despite there being 2 slurs if used in another context
