Have any of you ever felt jealous of girls when you were younger?
Like, when I was younger I often found myself envying girls because they have so much freedom to wear what they want, and it really bothered me that I "wasn't allowed" to wear the cute things they could wear, like skirts, dresses, or those long socks (thigh highs). And before you say it was because the "internet" influenced me, I had those feelings since I was quite young, way before I first when online in any meaningful way.

Later on in life I continued to feel similarly but it also extended to the appearance of girls. Sure I found them attractive but I also had envy towards them, I wanted to look pretty and feminine like them, in addition to how I felt before, those earlier feelings never really went away.

Has anyone else felt this way, and if so, did you also come out as trans or are you just a femboy? curious to hear about people's experiences.

I still wouldn't want to go through the pain and discomfort every single month over and over again.

I have a feeling it was the other way around actually.
The girls were a bit jealous of stuff boys could do and they couldn't. Football, being a rogue etc and it's not that they couldn't, but they never didn't.

It's a very understandable frustration. It would be weird if I wasn't allowed to wear Diablo or Yu-Gi-Oh t-shirts just because they are seen mostly for boys. I don't think it should be a big deal if someone, regardless of gender, wants to wear a dress. It's all just cloth to me.

Though I feel the freedom part might be exaggerated a tad given the whole "slut-shaming" thing. When I was in grade school I was envious of boys that got to wear A-shirts while I got in trouble for wearing a shirt that was deemed "sleeveless" because the sleeves were half as short as a regular shirt. When I was a little girl I got in trouble because the skirt that my grandma made me was just a smidge too short. They had me get on my knees and touch the floor and it was half an inch too short.

But again, understandable. Growing up I always felt boys got a ton of freedom in clothing and now I see they don't have as much as I thought and it was probably just all the envy I had for what they were wearing. ^^'

You can envy one aspect of someone while not envying another. One can desire feminine qualities without wanting that aspect. And even when I later learned about periods, I still wanted to look cute and feminine.

Some people definitely want it all, though right?

Yeah the "freedom" is exaggerated a bit. I wasn't super aware of slut-shaming when I was younger. I'm very much aware of it now, and have experienced it occasionally when I've worn outfits which "show too much skin" also had a bit of transmisogyny mixed in there as well. I do wish people as a whole were able to wear whatever we wanted without gender stereotypes or misogyny.

Yes, there are binary trans women who do want it all. I'm not one of them, but to each her own I guess.

I don't blame you for exaggerating. It certainly can feel like another has a lot of freedom when they get to wear all the clothes you want that you are told you can't wear.
