Trump and Macron team up on Putin.
yeah, indeed.
Labelling something you dislike as spam is one way to dismiss it but it's very clear, the tides of war are changing.
Till the last ukrainian. And if ukrainians inside Ukraine cba to fight they can always find more brave warriors in Barcelona, this place is like swarming with ukrainians bravely waving their flags and how Europe whole world should sacrifice their economics here.
Bravest ukrainians from Canada are not likely to come anyway. Thanks god we have don't have many of them here, likely too cold.
The problem is every time people stop joining up and the budgets get cut for the military, somebody decides they will build one for invasion.
The vast majority of people who sign on for service in the US military are not actively looking to kill people--and most will never see combat.
For every 11B (and 11Bs don't specifically sign up to kill, either, but as the Infantry specialists, they're most likely to be called to do it outside of our special operations groups), there are nine other soldiers, sailors, airmen, or Marines in MOSs that do not specialize in or focus on combat. If the engineers (non-combat engineers, anyway) or motor pool maintenance personnel are having to fight, the ♥♥♥♥ has hit the *entire* fan and splattered against the wall.
Generalizing the service in the way you have here really only reveals a limited understanding of what it is and how it functions. Every servicemember is trained to fight, yes--that's part of the job. But the vast, vast majority will never discharge a weapon while in uniform other than for weapons qual on a range.
And hey, without the politicians that start the fights (and--except in vanishing rare cases like McCain--not only never go to the fights they start, but never had to serve in one prior, either), there's no need for the 11Bs to discharge a weapon in anger, either. Blame the source of the problem--not the folks who have to clean it up.
