An entry wound--especially from a rifle of the caliber that killed Kirk (.30-06)--doesn't produce a lot of spray, because the projectile is *driving material inward* at the time it contacts the body.

Exit wounds splatter/spray everywhere, particularly with larger-caliber rounds that bring more material through and out of the target by virtue of the tumbling action of the round as it passes through.

Like I said: you pretty clearly don't understand how this works.

Edit: And to be clear, when that entry wound *begins*, there's practically no blood; any material the round is coming into contact with is being rammed through the target by the passage of the round; this is why you won't see much for a second or so after the round enters the target--all the material that round has come into contact with has been shoved into/through the target, which is why the very clear bloodloss from the front of Charlie's neck didn't begin until an instant or two after initial contact.

Again, you really have no idea how this works.
