Great to distract people further and promote the illusion of America First too.
Fix ur country.
Which is my country?
I have several.
That awesome.
Problem is we don't have enough able bodied Americans who are able to do the work. We have a nation full of UNSKILLED workers. And so, we must rely on foreigners. And I should know.l I taught in South Korea for nearly 15 years.
Our school system is a disgrace.
He had the tech oligarchs at the White House 2 weeks ago.
Probably promised them he would lower/remove requirements to import H1-Bs.
Those are just empty words and if they're not, it has 0% chance of being passed in congress. So that he can then exculpate himself and say "Far left democrats hate the American worker! Hur-dur!"
Drumpf is playing his low-IQ base like a fiddle.
He heard the "we only bring in skilled labor, the best and brightest" and called their bluff.
Want a H-1B worker? Be ready to pay a $150k salary minimum with your $100k non-refundable yearly fee.
Fees should be afforable, especially as he's dragging the economy to the bottom of the ocean.
The US has lost hundreds of thousands of jobs in the past year and Americans are unable to find jobs. The Indian workers and the companies exploiting their labor like slavers can F themselves.
I often used to call MAGA anti-immigration and they told me, "we're not against immigration - only undocumented immigration".
Multiplying visa fees by 100x sends a message that even legal migrants are not welcome.
It's also awkwardly ironic, considering the history of America and how it was built.
You think they should import workers to reduce American talent opportunities?
When it comes to skilled workers we lack the talent pool. Its why tech companies must rely on workers outside America. Yes, pay is another reason. Its cheaper to hire Indian programmers but the truth is we don't have enough skilled workers.
It just costs them $100k/yr now so they have to actually be skilled enough to be worthwhile. No more middle-manager H1Bs.
