Youtube is basically today's version of the boob tube. A vestiage of that is even in the name. Just like the boob tube, the quality of the sources therein are mixed. Some people do a bunch of work to actually show what they've done and how they know it. Other people just make wild and crazy claims.
But truth be told theough, the quality of a source is not intrinsic to the medium. They've been telling you not to believe everything you read in the newspaper since, well, the newspaper.
