Yes, sadly and it's not just tourism but other industries that benefit from tourism also.

I don't have a problem with it. The last time I entered Canada, they wasted over an hour of my time searching my vehicle, because I didn't have a front license plate.

The US makes about $25 billion a MONTH in tourism. And these "predictions" haven't been panning out lately. So why should I lend them any credibility now?
My view would be, don't come. I cannot in good faith tell "any" one from any other country they'd be safe coming here from abroad for any reason. I sincerely cannot.
